

Day 1 - ARRIVE LAS VEGAS
Welcome to Las Vegas! A complimentary transfer is provided to the tour hotel. Your Tour Director is available at the hotel this afternoon to greet you and answer your questions.
Day 2 - LAS VEGAS – ZION &
BRYCE CANYON NATIONAL PARKS
Travel through St. George before reaching Zion National Park. See the massive and colourful rock formations of Zion Canyon ascending toward the blue sky. Next, on to Bryce Canyon National Park, where sandstone spires reflect vibrant hues from every vista point. Visit the amphitheatre of hoodoos, the odd shaped stone monoliths.
Day 3 - BRYCE – SALT LAKE CITY
Travel to Salt Lake City, headquarters of the Mormon religion. Here your orientation tour includes the Assembly Hall and the Tabernacle, home of the famous Mormon Tabernacle Choir.
Day 4 - SALT LAKE CITY – JACKSON
Travel north along the edge of the Great Salt Lake and across the Oregon Trail en route to Jackson. Browse the shops and square of this authentic old-western town before dinner.
Day 5 - JACKSON – GRAND TETON &
YELLOWSTONE NATIONAL PARKS (2 Nights)
Travel through the scenic Grand Teton National Park, past sparkling Jenny Lake, on the way to Yellowstone National Park, an amazing geothermal wonderland. Home to an astounding array of elk and bears, Yellowstone also has one of the few large herds of buffalo still in existence. This evening, join a local guide for an other-worldly stroll around the boardwalks of the West Thumb Geyser Basin visiting such colourful spots as Abyss Pool, Thumb Paint Pots and the storied Fishing Cone. (When the South Entrance is closed due to weather conditions, the tour will travel west from Jackson via Idaho and enter Yellowstone National Park through the West Entrance.)
Day 6 - YELLOWSTONE NATIONAL PARK SIGHTSEEING
Enjoy a full day tour of Yellowstone National Park. Highlights include the world's most extraordinary collection of geysers, hot springs and bubbling mud pools, the Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone River with its thundering waterfalls, Yellowstone Lake, endless forests and the famous Old Faithful Geyser which erupts almost every hour.
Day 7 - YELLOWSTONE – CODY – BILLINGS
Head to Cody, named after its most famous resident, Buffalo Bill Cody. Learn about his adventures during a visit to the Buffalo Bill Historical Center. Then journey on to the historic cattle town of Billings, Montana. Tonight, get ready for some real Old West hospitality as you travel into the countryside to meet your host, a life-long cowboy and entertainer, for a cowboy dining experience. You’ll be regaled with tales and ballads of the Old West while your hearty dinner is cooked up cowboy-style. Join in the fun with harmonica lessons and horseshoes and dress up in cowboy duds for a photo souvenir. Yeehah!
Day 8 - BILLINGS – DEADWOOD – RAPID CITY (2 Nights)
Travel to the Little Bighorn Battlefield National Monument, site of the infamous Custer's Last Stand. The next stop is in Deadwood for a private tour by trolley where you'll hear all about the legends of the Wild West. Travel on to Rapid City.
Day 9 - BLACK HILLS EXCURSION
Journey through the scenic Black Hills. Learn the story behind Mount Rushmore before viewing this incredible sculpture depicting four great American Presidents. Stop at the Crazy Horse Memorial honoring all Native Americans. This evening is at leisure.
Day 10 - RAPID CITY – DENVER
Drive through the Black Hills National Forest, home to a variety of wildlife, and through the grassland prairies of South Dakota and Wyoming en route to Colorado's capital city – Denver.
Day 11 - DENVER – VAIL – ARCHES NATIONAL PARK – MOAB
Drive into the Rocky Mountains and stop at the famous resort of Vail where there is time for a short stroll through this quaint alpine village. Following the Colorado River, travel through the spectacular scenery of the Rockies and enter Utah. Explore the wonderland of Arches National Park, home to stone arches and balancing rock formations, before arriving in Moab.
Day 12 - MOAB – MESA VERDE NATIONAL PARK – KAYENTA
Visit Mesa Verde National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and learn about the Native American tribes who lived in the canyons' amazing cliff dwellings. Continue to Kayenta on the Navajo Indian Reservation.
Day 13 - KAYENTA – MONUMENT VALLEY –
GRAND CANYON NATIONAL PARK
Join a local guide and explore the giant, world-famous monoliths of Monument Valley aboard open-air vehicles. Continue to the magnificent Grand Canyon and gaze out upon the natural wonder along its rim. You'll become rock experts learning from a local specialist who relays the story of the formation of the 1.7 billion year-old canyon carved by the Colorado River. This evening, enjoy a farewell dinner followed by a sunset walk along the rim.
Day 14 - GRAND CANYON – DEPART LAS VEGAS
This morning is at leisure for optional flightseeing tours before driving along parts of the famous Route 66 heading back toward Las Vegas. Complimentary transfers are provided to Las Vegas International Airport and the tour hotel in Las Vegas for passengers extending their stay. Please do not schedule any flights before 6:30 p.m. |
